DESCRIPTION:Linda Buckmaster’s Traveling Literary Banners\, “Of Cod and Communities\,” will be at the Mulholland Gallery in Lubec June 10 to 30. The Reception is Saturday June 13 at 5 p.m. The exhibit consists of eight 3′ x 5′ soft fabric banners adapted from Linda’s book\, “Elemental: A Miscellany of Salt Cod and Islands\,” which reflects fishing communities and landscapes on both sides of the North Atlantic. The banners show over 30 images from Maine\, Newfoundland\, Scotland\, Iceland and the Caribbean and come with informational sidebars.

DESCRIPTION:Music and Movement Storytime is back for the summer! Starting Monday\, June 15 at 10:30 a.m. preschool kids and their caregivers are invited to join Ms. Jen each week at the Blue Hill Public Library for Music and Movement Storytime. We will sing songs\, play instruments\, dance\, and read stories. The rhythms\, rhymes\, and patterns in music and the use of musical instruments provide fun ways to practice skills that have a direct connection with early literacy. DESCRIPTION:The Blue Hill Public Library and Peninsula Pride will present a talk on Monday\, June 22 at 6:30 p.m. with art professor Christopher Scott Brumfield for his annual tour through LGBTQAI+ art and art history. Brumfield will touch briefly on many kinds of art and different manifestations of queer identity in art and will discuss artists from all over the world. This talk is appropriate for all ages\, and everyone is welcome. Christopher Scott Brumfield is an artist\, art teacher at Baton Rouge Community College\, and writer from South Louisiana.
