SUMMARY:Fused Glass Moose Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Create a unique glass moose or use the available glass to express your own creativity in this fused glass class. Have fun learning how to work with different types of glass in this 2 and ½ hour workshop! Each student will learn to cut and shape sheet glass using both hand tools and bit grinders. Your unique art will be fired to a tack fuse\, creating a textured work of art to display on a shelf or windowsill. Your beautiful creation will be available for pick-up the following week.

SUMMARY:Coaxing Summer onto Cloth: Natural Dye Through the Seasons
DESCRIPTION:In this 4 part workshop\, we will dive into the magic of seasonal natural dye\, learning different techniques each class to coax color from local plants onto cloth\, including immersion dyeing\, bundle dyeing\, flower pounding and cyanotype printing. The fourth class will make space for participants to create a tiny quilt using the fabrics we dyed throughout the season. Along the way\, we will learn about respectful foraging\, plant connection\, the mordanting process\, and all you need to get started dyeing at home. Beginners warmly welcome! SUMMARY:Woodburning Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In this beginner-friendly two-hour class\, you’ll learn the basic techniques of decorative woodburning and will create an image of a feather to take home. Using a pen-like burning tool\, you’ll start by practicing mark-making techniques to explore options and possibilities with the wood burner. Then you will create an image of a feather by copying a design from nature or making up your own design. All materials provided. Students must be at least 8 years old.
