DESCRIPTION:Join the Mount Desert Island Historical Society as we celebrate with an evening built around the traditions that connect us. \nThe evening opens at 5:30 p.m. with the Society’s brief Annual Meeting with a look back at a remarkable year and ahead at what’s next\, before the gathering shifts to a community potluck supper around 6:00 p.m. and tables move aside for live music and dancing with The Bagaduce Northern New England Ensemble\, a nine-piece band reviving the traditional Maine fiddle music that once filled the state’s rural dance halls. \nFree and open to everyone. Voting on Society business is limited to current members\, but the celebration is for the whole community.
