Tudor\, a Deering HS and UNE graduate and athlete\, who lost her life to a sudden brain aneurysm in December 2008. The Karo-5K is in memory of Karolina A. Kurka\, a Scarborough HS and UNH graduate who passed away from an undetected brain aneurysm in July 2011. \nNow in its 18th year\, this annual event has NOW grown to include hundreds of families affected by brain aneurysms or stroke and this day is used to honor survivors and remember loved ones lost to this silent killer. \nFunds raised by the event will benefit our local efforts to support early detection\, education\, fund research\, and create awareness about brain aneurysms in Maine and northern New England. \nPlease join us\, as we “share our tears\, remember with love\, walk & run to honor” Kim\, Karo\, and many other families affected and help save lives!

As in past years\, the event will auction a plethora of donated goods\, services\, artwork\, and gift certificates. There will be a 50/50 raffle and a delicious\, decadent dessert bar with all of your favorites donated by Corea Catering and other supporters of the pantry. Last year\, we raised over $26\,000 that went directly back into our community by stocking the shelves at the pantry. All donations are tax deductible.

DESCRIPTION:Event: Midcoast Community Chorus Fundraising Event: “Growing Together!”\nDate: Sunday\, May 3\, 2026\nTime: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM\nLocation: Pascal Hall\, 86 Pascal Avenue\, Rockport\, Maine 04856 \nEvent Highlights: \n– Refreshments: Hors d’oeuvres by Stones Throw Catering and a selection of wines\, beers\, and soft drinks from First Fig Wine Shop.\n– Musical Presentation: An uplifting performance by members of the Midcoast Community Chorus.\n– 50/50 Raffle: Proceeds will be split between the winner\, The Come Spring Food Pantry\, and The Knox County Gleaners to support local efforts against food insecurity. \nPurpose:\nThis event supports the operations of the Midcoast Community Chorus and our mission of singing as a community\, for the community. \nTickets are $40 and are available online at mccsings.org/tickets or at the door.
