DESCRIPTION:An intimate house concert with award winning singer-songwriter Alice Limoges. \nAbout Alice Limoges: \n“As a songwriter\, Limoges brings to mind something akin to a softer-edged Fiona Apple\, or a harder-edged Sarah McLachlan — awfully\, awfully pretty\, but with a flair for the dramatic that creeps in on nearly every track.” – Bangor Daily News\nBorn and raised on a mountain by the sea in coastal Maine\, Alice Limoges was singing before she could walk. With roots grounded in the folk\, jazz\, and rock traditions of her childhood\, Alice’s journey led her through seven years in the New York City music scene before the pandemic guided her back to Maine in 2020. Her artistry is marked by her distinct voice\, visceral songwriting abilities\, and a spirit reminiscent of a classic troubadour. Her songs will make you laugh and cry as she shares relatable stories of her life and observations on being human. \nAlice crafts poetic songs reflecting love\, homecoming\, and mental health\, illuminated by her soulful voice. Whether solo or in collaboration\, her performances draw listeners into the intimate space of her vulnerable original music. Having released seven independent albums/EPs\, her song “No One Underneath” stood as a semi-finalist in the 2019 International Songwriting Competition. Notably\, she contributed to the Grammy Award winning album “Ageless: Songs For The Child Archetype” by Jon Samson. Her song “Hurricane Alley” won the 2025 Maine Songwriting Contest. Her album “Northern Maine” receives regular airplay on WERU.\n​\nShe has performed extensively across the Northeast\, including festivals (All Roads Music Festival\, Belfast\, ME; Make Music Harlem\, NYC; Keene Music Festival\, Keene\, NH; Sweet Chariot Music Festival (Swan’s Island\, ME)\, The Campfire Festival\, Cambridge\, MA)\, colleges (Columbia University\, Hamilton College\, SUNY New Paltz\, SUNY Purchase)\, and other legendary venues such as The Cutting Room (NYC)\, Rockwood Music Hall (NYC)\, Club Passim (Boston)\, and Blue (Portland) as well as countless intimate concerts with Sofar Sounds.
