Special guest vocalists Michael Weferling and Willow Watts will perform. The grant presentation will take place as part of the program\, making the connection between artistic expression and community action visible and tangible for audience members\, who will be invited to sing along on the iconic anthem of resistance and resilience\, “We Shall Overcome”.\n“Music has always been a vehicle for justice\,” said Anna Jones\, Executive Director of Midcoast Community Chorus. “This concert is our opportunity to put that belief into practice\, not just in the songs we sing\, but in what we do with -and for- the community we have built together.”\nCome Spring Food Pantry\, based in Union\, serves the Midcoast through a combination of traditional food pantry services and gleaning – recovering fresh food from farms\, markets\, and restaurants that would otherwise go to waste.
