DESCRIPTION:2026 Summer of Dance Residency artists Kristen Stake and Hannah Kumaski\, founders of Portland-based IMAGINARY ISLAND Dance Company (imaginaryisland.art)\, perform new choreography. \nFRIDAY\, AUGUST 7th\, at 7 p.m. — the Lamoine Grange Hall Theater — 7 Lamoine Beach Road\, Lamoine\, ME \nDuring their residency\, Stake and Kumaski have developed original choreography inspired by the theme “Deep Time.” Selected for their strong Maine roots and community-centered artistic practices\, the artists create inventive contemporary dance that invites audiences into the creative process through improvisation\, experimentation\, and movement exploration. \nThe evening will feature newly developed work followed by an artist talk-back. Admission is pay-what-you-can. ADA accessible. DESCRIPTION:PATHS (Portland Arts and Technology High School) Annual Student Showcase 2026 \nThe Music Program at PATHS opened its doors to high school students interested in the study of performing arts in 1999\, creating an environment for highly focused and individualized study. The two-year music program teaches students how to interpret and perform many contemporary musical styles including but not limited to Rock\, R&B\, Rap\, Jazz\, Folk and Electronica. \nThere are three aspects of the program: Performing\, Music Theory\, and Music Production. \nStudents perform four times a year\, with one evening in a Showcase of talent off campus at The Hill Arts.
