SUMMARY:Watershed Workshop: Finding Magic in an Acorn with Joan Sommers
DESCRIPTION:Join designer\, author\, and educator Joan Sommers for an introduction to the magical boxes of Joseph Cornell (1903-1972). Drawing inspiration from his habitat series of boxes\, participants will balance the natural and man-made\, focusing on symbolic\, metaphorical\, or emotional connections. They will create small assemblages using natural materials from the Langlais Art Preserve and objects provided from an overflowing attic. \nWatershed Workshops have a pay what you can ($10 suggested) registration fee\, to help offset materials costs.
