WERU’s “Homegrown,” our very own reggae concert and dance party, will take place on Saturday, July 28, 4:20-12 p.m. at the Blue Goose on Route 1 in Northport, Maine. Three top rankin’ Maine reggae bands will be featured: CatchaVibe, Merther and Gorilla Finger Dub Band.
Buy advance tickets for $15 or at the door for $20 (if tickets remain). Tickets are not for sale by calling or emailing WERU.
Food and beverage trucks will be on site to keep your hot steppin’ legs moving through the night. Along with the best in Maine reggae, Homegrown will offer sweet bonuses like live painting to the music and an irie pinata. You’ll have to show up at the dancehall to see what else bubbles up! Fun begins at 4:20. Live music begins at 6:00 p.m. Come celebrate thirty years of community radio niceness at the best dance floor on the coast of Maine. Hosted by the whole crew of WERU reggae DJs. It’s gonna be crucial!
Much respect as well to our sponsoring reggae programs: the Drive Thru (Wednesdays 8-10 p.m.) and Reggae Reprieve (Saturdays 12-2 p.m.). Tune in!
