DESCRIPTION:Coastal Mountains Land Trust is proud to announce a special performance as part of the 2026 Arts on the Hill concert series! \nThe seven-time Grammy-winning Paul Winter Consort\, featuring beloved vocalist Theresa Thomason\, are coming to Rockport on Friday\, August 28th to present a unique sunset concert on Beech Hill. The concert will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the summit of the Preserve. \nThe Consort will include cellist Eugene Friesen\, pianist Henrique Eisenmann\, bassist Peter Slavov\, percussionist Tareq Rantisi\, along with Ms. Theresa Thomason and Winter’s soprano sax. \nEntitled “This Glorious Earth”\, the concert will also feature the voices of Whale\, Wolf\, and Wood Thrush\, along with other members of what Winter calls “the greater symphony of the Earth.” \nThis concert is generously sponsored by long-time friends of Paul Winter\, Jane and Bill Stetson\, and is free and open to all. \nBeech Hill Preserve is located at 316 Beech Hill Rd\, Rockport\, ME. Parking at Beech Hill Preserve is available on site but is limited\, so attendees are encouraged to carpool whenever possible. You can help us plan by sharing the number of cars and people in your party via our events page. \nThe walk to the summit is considered easy; approximately a half mile climb with 200ft elevation gain\, along a gravel farm road with a few benches available for resting along the way. Please contact the Land Trust at 207-236-7091 if you would like additional information about accessibility needs. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs\, blankets\, and a picnic to enjoy during the performance. Please note that dogs are not permitted at this event. DESCRIPTION:Coastal Mountains Land Trust and Rockville the Band are celebrating music\, land conservation and community on Wednesday\, July 1\, at 5:30 p.m.\, with this year’s first concert of the Arts On The Hill series atop Beech Hill in Rockport. Rockville\, a local roots rock band with a unique blend of folk\, country\, blues\, and reggae\, recently released their debut album\, SHINE\, available on all streaming platforms. Rockville offers original music that speaks to the elements\, the natural world and human experience. Band members include Aaron Englander (vocals\, guitar\, banjo) Allison Redding (vocals\, keyboard)\, Matt Hill (vocals\, lead guitar)\, Johannes Nightingale (flute\, guitar)\, Ray Montana (bass) and Ryan Cordiner (drums). Rockville is one of many active bands in Midcoast Maine’s vibrant local music scene that builds inclusive community spirit at shows up and down the Midcoast all summer long. \nAll Arts on the Hill performances are free and open to all ages.
