Crafts will be process focused\, designed to emphasize the exploration and experimentation of materials\, development of fine motor skills\, and allowing kids to explore their creativity. \nAlthough designed for preschool-aged children\, siblings can also get in on the fun. SUMMARY:Coastal Kids Science Series - Life on the Lobster Boat
DESCRIPTION:Kids are invited to join Tess from the University of Maine 4-H on Wednesday\, August 26 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. to learn all about lobsters. Come aboard the lobster boat! In this interactive workshop\, youth will learn how lobster fishers measure lobsters and band their claws. They will also have the opportunity to paint their own mini wooden lobster buoy. \nThis program is free and cosponsored by the library and the UMaine Cooperative Extension.
