Nature Notes: A Maine Naturalist Afield – Sailing the Maine Coast

Nature Notes: A Maine Naturalist Afield is a 5-minute, spoken-word program produced by staff of the Maine Natural History Observatory (MNHO) that discusses natural history topics relating to Maine’s flora and fauna from the perspective of field biologists and naturalists.

Listen to the recent 7-part series produced by MNHO executive director, Glen Mittelhauser, about sailing the Maine Coast and discussing the natural history he sees on the way. Along the trip, Glen encounters coastal seabird colonies, moon jellyfish, and clouds of bioluminescent plankton. Listen through the WERU archives, or wherever you listen to podcasts!
