Hosted by Jeri Spurling and Bill Ryan, the Jazz Scene strives to bring a highly listenable mix of straight ahead jazz and introduce new artists on the scene as they come to our attention. We draw from 8 decades of this great American music, adopted by the world. We start the show at 6 p.m. with upbeat and peppy pieces, move into a calmer middle and end cranking up the pace, usually throwing in vocal and instrumental variety, until 8 p.m. each Monday. Jeri has been with WERU-FM since 1992.
