Author Event: Jennifer de Mooy

October 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free

The Blue Hill Library and Blue Hill Books will present a talk and signing with author Jennifer de Mooy for her new book Water, Carbon, Time: Exploring Peatlands in a Warming World on Thursday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the library. In Water, Carbon, Time, de Mooy shares the story of her personal discovery of the wonders of peatlands in all their variety and understated beauty, bringing much-needed attention to the restorative potential held in their spongy depths. Part travelogue, part ecological history, and a call to action, Water, Carbon, Time demonstrates there is still hope for these precious ecosystems. Jennifer de Mooy has worked in conservation, environmental protection, and climate policy for more than forty years.

This program is free and open to all. Blue Hill Book will be on site with copies of the book available to purchase. If you have any questions, please contact Assistant Director Kayleigh at kayleigh.thomas@bhpl.net or 374-5515.
