The Blue Hill Maritime Heritage Festival celebrates the colorful nautical history of Blue Hill Bay and the Blue Hill area. It’s a history rich with the building of coastal craft and ocean going full rigged ships; through copper mines along the shore to the ‘rusticators’ (vacationers) who once came by steamship (the roads were pretty awful) and still come to this day. There will be historical actors, local artists, face painting, demonstrations, rowing, live music, food, a raffle, nautical vendors, & more.
