The Danny Fisher-Lochhead Large Ensemble will be performing music from their 2025 album “World Of Difference” as well as a handful of new and eager pieces. The group is an assemblage of some of Maine’s most compelling improvising musicians, featuring Ryan Blotnick, Ross Gallagher, Emma Stanley, Aaron Henry, Brian Shankar Adler, Dan Barrett, and Jonathan Henderson. The music they make bears the mark of the jazz tradition and various Afro-diasporic musics that formed their training, and travels out from there to embrace both what’s close at hand and far afield. Luce Spirits is a small and vital place where the music will be so close you can taste it.
