Join Maine Historical Society and Belfast Free Library for an incredible opportunity to view the Dunlap broadside of the Declaration of Independence, one of 26 surviving copies printed on July 4, 1776. Explore Maine’s important role in the American Revolution and our country’s continuing effort to uphold our founding principles in this interactive traveling exhibition.

At 9:30 a.m. on August 14th, join us on the plaza in front of the library for some brief opening remarks to kickoff the Declaration of Independence exhibition with with Maine Historical Society Executive Director Steve Bromage, Belfast Free Library Director Laura Koenig, and State Senator Chip Curry.
