Get ready for a rollicking night of live music when High Horse takes the stage at the Camden Opera House on Saturday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the SoundCheck concert series.
Blending the traditions of bluegrass, old-time, and folk with the driving energy of alternative rock, High Horse delivers a fresh, progressive-acoustic sound fueled by crisp vocals, virtuosic musicianship, and plenty of good vibes. With four friends, three bows, and one pick, the Boston-based band creates an exhilarating musical experience that pushes folk traditions in exciting new directions.
High Horse features fiddler Carson McHaney, cellist Karl Henry, guitarist G Rockwell, and bassist Noah Harrington. Drawing on their diverse musical backgrounds, the four musicians explore original compositions alongside tunes rooted in a wide range of folk traditions. Their sound reflects the artistry and musical skills they developed while studying at Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory.
The band released its debut album in 2024, produced by acclaimed mandolinist Jacob Jolliff and engineered by renowned sound engineer Dave Sinko.
