Pumpkin Hike Grand Opening

October 28 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free

The Pumpkin Hike is returning to the Ellsworth Riverwalk! Join Frenchman Bay Conservancy, Ellsworth Public Library, and Heart of Ellsworth on Wednesday, October 28, for an evening walk along the jack-o’-lantern lit trail and a festive community celebration.

From 5–7 PM, stroll the Riverwalk as glowing pumpkins carved by community members light the trail. Guests are encouraged to wear seasonal outfits and costumes and vote for their favorite pumpkins. The jack-o’-lanterns will remain on display throughout Halloween weekend, with trail lights illuminating the pumpkins each evening.

Visitors should park at the City Hall parking lot and walk to the trail. Accessible parking will be available at the Ellsworth Public Library.

Community members are also invited to help create the display by carving and submitting a pumpkin. Free pumpkin carving opportunities will be available through Frenchman Bay Conservancy and the Ellsworth Public Library, or participants can carve a pumpkin at home and enter it in the Pumpkin Hike.
