Brothers Justin and Tyler Wood team up with composer and guitarist Ryan Blotnick, bassist Ross Gallagher, and drummer Brian Adler for an evening of original quintet traversing the worlds and boundaries of diverse jazz traditions.

This concert will feature songs from Green and Blue Spaces, Justin Wood’s new composition for quintet inspired by the parks, waterways, and wild spaces of New York City, and from Ryan Blotnick’s recording The Woods, an album whose organic musical chemistry draws comparisons to forests and the interlinked mycelium running beneath the trees.

We are grateful for the support of Staten Island Arts, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and MDIHS in making this concert possible.

For this special evening, the ensemble will include:
Tyler Wood – piano
Justin Wood – saxophones and flute
Ryan Blotnick – guitar
Ross Gallagher – bass
Brian Adler – drums and percussion
