Meet at Benedict Arnold Park, located behind the Federated Church on Island Avenue in Skowhegan.

This ninety‑minute guided walk gives participants an in‑depth look at the pivotal role Skowhegan Island and Skowhegan Falls played in shaping 19th‑century industry and culture on the Kennebec River. Using vintage images, the walk brings to life how this stretch of the river became, and remains, one of the community’s most important historic districts.

Portable lightweight folding chairs and cameras are welcome.
