Members of the vibrant arts and craft community in and around Surry will come together in July as the Summer in Surry, Art + Craft Market launches its first annual event. On July 18, 2026, from 10 – 4 pm, 16+ local artists, craftspeople, and creators will gather at The Old Surry Village Schoolhouse located at 7 Toddy Pond Road, to showcase and sell their local art, craft, books, and goods.
The Summer in Surry, Art + Craft Market is dedicated to highlighting regional art and craftsmanship. Attendees can browse a diverse array of categories, including locally designed fashion and curated home goods by Hanna B., clay artists from Tigermoth Pottery, custom woodworking from Bob Bing-You in support of the Downeast Woodbank, plein air painting by Helen Hutchison of HyArt, Maine-themed books, art, home goods, apparel, local floral arrangements, driftwood art, and more.
