Third Annual Community Potluck at Carding Brook Farm, Celebrating Local Food

July 25 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Free

Join us for delicious food and lively music at beautiful Carding Brook Farm at our third annual summer community potluck picnic, celebrating local food. Sponsored by the Brooklin Climate Response Committee, Brooklin Food Corps, and Friend Memorial Library Book Club.  We will be looking at sustainable food sources again, this year exploring native foods.  Penobscot Chef Joe Robbins will give an open fire cooling demonstration. The musicians of BAMU will return to play music for everyone.

What to bring: A dish to share (anything you wish), a list of ingredients in your dish, plates, utensils, blanket or chairs, BYOB. Soft drinks provided.

Optional: Everyone is invited to enter the Local Food Challenge. Bring a dish that includes local native ingredients. Attendees vote for their favorite dish, the winner gets a prize. Foods include: blueberries, beans, corn, cranberries, clams, huckleberries, lobster, sunflower seeds, sumac, trout, venison.
