Join designer, author, and educator Joan Sommers for an introduction to the magical boxes of Joseph Cornell (1903-1972). Drawing inspiration from his habitat series of boxes, participants will balance the natural and man-made, focusing on symbolic, metaphorical, or emotional connections. They will create small assemblages using natural materials from the Langlais Art Preserve and objects provided from an overflowing attic.

Watershed Workshops have a pay what you can ($10 suggested) registration fee, to help offset materials costs. If this fee is a barrier, please get in touch with us at langlais@grlt.org—we want everyone who is interested to be able to participate.
