Wild Blueberry Resilience Summit

Maine’s wild blueberry barrens are an iconic part of our region’s landscape and economy, but our family farms are facing an unprecedented squeeze from historic droughts, rising costs, and real estate pressure. To meet this challenge, Hancock County Soil & Water Conservation District is hosting the free Wild Blueberry Resilience Summit on September 18, 2026, at Blue Ridge Farms in Waltham, bringing together 75–100 wild blueberry growers, as well as conservation scientists, local, state and federal partners, and policymakers to deliver real tools for drought resilience, soil health, and farm viability.
