VoXX (Voice of Twenty) will perform a free concert at Searsmont United Methodist Church as part of Searsmont Town Library's 'Live Outside the Library' concert series on Saturday June 27 at 4pm. Acapella chamber choral music from the 17th to the 21st century.
Sing along or listen as PMM staff and volunteers lead an afternoon of sea chanteys and sailors’ songs. If you have a chantey to share, you are welcome to lead one. There will also information about how these songs were used as work songs. Attend once or come regularly. All ages are welcome, and no experience is needed.
Village Harmony, the remarkable teen world-music ensemble, will present traditional Georgian and Balkan songs, American shape-note songs, arrangements of Yiddish music, and modern compositions in a family-friendly concert. The group is led by Lysander Jaffe, Liam Kantor, and Lexi Ugelow. Admission is by donation.
