Honor Indigenous Leadership

The Peace and Justice Group of Waldo County will hold its monthly forum Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 6 pm in the Abbott Room, Belfast Free Library to honor Indigenous leadership with a presentation by the co-directors of Niweskok : From the Stars to the Seeds. They are a local women and two-spirit led collaboration of food and medicine providers that rematriate Wabanaki life ways “by engaging with our kinship responsibilities and reclaiming traditional foods and healing.” Join us to honor and learn from their work and their vision.
